At a glance
- On this website, we only collect what you type into the demo or quote form, so we can reply to you.
- In the InsightOS app, your data stays on the computer it was imported on. We never receive your files, tables or results.
- We do not sell personal data, and we do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
1. Who we are
InsightOS (“we”, “us”) provides the InsightOS decision-intelligence software and this website. For anything in this policy, contact us at hello@askinsightos.com.
2. Information we collect on this website
When you book a demo or request a quote, we collect:
- your name, work email and organisation;
- your industry, team, team size and, for demos, your preferred time;
- any comments you choose to add;
- the page you came from, the referring website and campaign tags in the link (UTM tags), so we know which channels work.
We also hold your IP address briefly in memory, for about ten minutes, to stop spam and abuse of the form. It is not stored with your enquiry. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies on this website.
3. How we use it
- to reply to your enquiry, arrange a demo and prepare a quote;
- to follow up about the request you made;
- to understand which pages and campaigns bring enquiries, in aggregate;
- to protect the website from spam and misuse.
We rely on our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries, or on steps you ask us to take before entering into a contract. We will not add you to a marketing list without your agreement, and you can opt out of any message we send.
4. Who we share it with
We share enquiry details only with service providers that help us run the business, under contract:
- our website hosting provider;
- our scheduling tool, if you choose to book a time with us;
- our customer-relationship and team messaging tools, so the right person can reply.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it. We never sell or rent personal data.
5. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for as long as we are in contact with you and for up to 24 months after our last contact, unless you become a customer, in which case the contract terms apply. You can ask us to delete your details sooner.
6. Cookies
Visitors to this website receive no cookies from us. The only cookie we set is a strictly necessary sign-in cookie for our own staff when they use the website’s admin area.
7. Data in the InsightOS app
The InsightOS app runs on your organisation’s computers. Your organisation controls the data it analyses and decides how the app is configured. In short:
- Your data stays local. Imported files, the analytics database, accounts and reports are stored on the computer where they were imported. There is no telemetry and no automatic updates.
- Only the AI provider receives anything about your data, and only when a question needs language understanding. A request can contain the question, table and column names, a few example values, and a small preview of a result (around 25 rows). It never contains whole tables, files, account details or passwords. Queries always run on your computer.
- Personal values are masked by default. With the default “Masked” privacy level, names, emails, phone numbers, ID and account numbers, addresses and dates of birth are replaced with placeholders before anything leaves the computer. Administrators can choose “Summaries only” (no individual rows) or “Full detail” for each project, and can see a log of exactly what was sent.
- You choose the AI provider. Use the AI included with your licence, which is provided through OpenRouter under our agreement, or connect your organisation’s own Anthropic, OpenAI or OpenRouter key under your own agreement. Keys are encrypted on the computer and never shown again after saving. A local model can also be used.
- The licence service never sees your data. Licence check-ins send only the licence, a code derived from the computer (not the machine ID itself), the computer’s name and the app version. They contain no questions, data, file, table or column names, results or account details.
For data analysed in the app, your organisation is the data controller and decides what is imported and shared. For regulated data such as health, financial, government or children’s data, we recommend the “Masked” or “Summaries only” level and a provider agreement that excludes training on your data.
8. Security
We protect the website and app with measures appropriate to the data involved, including encrypted connections, encrypted storage of keys and licences, hashed passwords and role-based access. No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell you promptly if a breach affects your data.
9. International transfers
Our service providers, and AI providers used by the app, may process data outside your country. Where the law requires it, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask to see, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal data, object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw any consent you gave. Email hello@askinsightos.com and we will respond within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data-protection authority.
11. Children
This website and InsightOS are for businesses and are not directed at children.
12. Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our practices change and show the date of the latest version at the top. See also our Terms of Use.
